The Hobbit preview gets mixed reaction

Visitors to CinemaCon this week were lucky enough to get a 10 minute preview of The Hobbit, and reactions to it have been hitting the web.

While viewers were apparently positive about the actual film sequences shown, there have some quite negative responses to the decision to shoot the movie with new 48 frames per second technology (double the usual 24 fps).  (more…)

Two new pictures of Bilbo & dwarves released

New pictures of from The Hobbit have been released online recently, the first of these is of Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) walking cautiously through some forest, which was released by USA Today. The second picture is courtesy of Yahoo Movies and is of Bilbo in his home surrounded by several dwarves (L to R – William Kircher, Graham McTavish, James Nesbitt and John Callen).

Watch: Christopher Lee’s Christmas message

Saruman actor Sir Christopher Lee recently released his Christmas message video, in which, among many things, he talks about his involvement with the Hobbit films. Watch that below. Such a pleasure listening to that legendary voice! We hope we get many more Christmas messages from Sir Christopher.
